Natural Gas Inventory Report 12-30-10

Working gas in storage was 3,232 Bcf as of Friday, December 24, 2010, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 136 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 62 Bcf less than last year at this time and 246 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,986 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 2 Bcf above the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 103 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 206 Bcf above the 5-year average of 911 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 21 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 38 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 12 Bcf. At 3,232 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
