Natural Gas Inventory Report 08-25-11

Working gas in storage was 2,906 Bcf as of Friday, August 19, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 73 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 140 Bcf less than last year at this time and 55 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,961 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 112 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 58 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 55 Bcf above the 5-year average of 905 Bcf after a net injection of 7 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 2 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 8 Bcf. At 2,906 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 2,833 Bcf as of Friday, August 12, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 50 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 175 Bcf less than last year at this time and 73 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,906 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 120 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 48 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 50 Bcf above the 5-year average of 903 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 8 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 3 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net addition of 10 Bcf. At 2,833 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 197 Bcf less than last year at this time and 80 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,863 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 124 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 38 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 53 Bcf above the 5-year average of 908 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 21 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 9 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net addition of 8 Bcf. At 2,783 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 186 Bcf less than last year at this time and 68 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,826 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 124 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 42 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 69 Bcf above the 5-year average of 913 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 5 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 13 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net addition of 7 Bcf. At 2,758 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
