Natural Gas Inventory Report 10-25-07

Working gas in storage was 3,443 Bcf as of Friday, October 19, 2007, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 68 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 15 Bcf less than last year at this time and 232 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,211 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 87 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 38 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 116 Bcf above the 5-year average of 904 Bcf after a net injection of 23 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 28 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 7 Bcf. At 3,443 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Natural Gas Inventory Report 10-18-07

Working gas in storage was 3,375 Bcf as of Friday, October 12, 2007, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 39 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 59 Bcf less than last year at this time and 213 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,162 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 78 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 25 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 108 Bcf above the 5-year average of 889 Bcf after a net injection of 9 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 27 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 5 Bcf. At 3,375 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

The United States Natural Gas Fund is on the verge of breaking through resistance above $41.50.

A close above $42 would be a very bullish signal and would indicate a high probability of a move back toward the highs set in August.

Natural gas futures on the NYMEX rose 47.1 cents to settle at $7.445 per 1,000 cubic feet in Mondays trading.

Cooler weather forecasts for next week in the Northeast and Midwest and a storm in the Caribbean Sea were catalysts for the price appreciation.

Stocks were 44 Bcf less than last year at this time and 237 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,099 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 91 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 43 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 118 Bcf above the 5-year average of 870 Bcf after a net injection of 23 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 29 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 7 Bcf. At 3,336 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 54 Bcf less than last year at this time and 227 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,036 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 88 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 33 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 109 Bcf above the 5-year average of 856 Bcf after a net injection of 14 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 30 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 10 Bcf. At 3,263 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
