Natural Gas Inventory Report 09-29-11

Working gas in storage was 3,312 Bcf as of Friday, September 23, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 111 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 91 Bcf less than last year at this time and 5 Bcf above the 5-year average of 3,307 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 52 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 67 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 54 Bcf above the 5-year average of 982 Bcf after a net injection of 33 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 3 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf. At 3,312 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 3,112 Bcf as of Friday, September 9, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 87 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 140 Bcf less than last year at this time and 52 Bcf below the 5-year average of 3,164 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 89 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 59 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 37 Bcf above the 5-year average of 944 Bcf after a net injection of 22 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region matched the 5-year average after a net addition of 6 Bcf. At 3,112 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 3,025 Bcf as of Friday, September 2, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 64 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 131 Bcf less than last year at this time and 60 Bcf below the 5-year average of 3,085 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 96 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 58 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 34 Bcf above the 5-year average of 925 Bcf after a net injection of 2 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 3 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 4 Bcf. At 3,025 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 137 Bcf less than last year at this time and 60 Bcf below the 5-year average of 3,021 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 107 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 54 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 44 Bcf above the 5-year average of 913 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 3 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 3 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 4 Bcf. At 2,961 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
