Natural Gas Inventory Report 2-25-09

Working gas in storage was 1,853 Bcf as of Friday, February 19, 2010, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 172 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 56 Bcf less than last year at this time and 13 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,840 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 23 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 95 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 20 Bcf below the 5-year average of 627 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 66 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 56 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 11 Bcf. At 1,853 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Natural Gas Inventory Report 2-18-09

Working gas in storage was 2,025 Bcf as of Friday, February 12, 2010, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 190 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 26 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 53 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,972 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 18 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 105 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 18 Bcf above the 5-year average of 655 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 63 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 52 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 22 Bcf. At 2,025 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

EIA reports 191 billion cubic feet decline in natural gas

The EIA is reporting a draw of 191 billion cubic feet in natural gas inventory for the week ending February 5. This decline is above the 5 year average of 155bcf.

Natural gas for March delivery is currently up 1.85% to $5.496 in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

EIA Notice: Natural Gas Weekly Update Cancelled

Notice: The Natural Gas Weekly Update scheduled to be released at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 11, 2010, will be cancelled this week.

The EIA report for 2-11 has been cancelled due to the snowstorm in Washington, D.C.

Natural Gas Inventory Report 2-04-09

Working gas in storage was 2,406 Bcf as of Friday, January 29, 2010, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 115 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 199 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 150 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,256 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 15 Bcf above the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 83 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 76 Bcf above the 5-year average of 720 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 11 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 58 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 21 Bcf. At 2,406 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
