Natural Gas Inventory Report 02-24-11

Working gas in storage was 1,830 Bcf as of Friday, February 18, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 81 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 48 Bcf less than last year at this time and 61 Bcf below the 5-year average of 1,891 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 96 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 57 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 46 Bcf above the 5-year average of 641 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 11 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 10 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 13 Bcf. At 1,830 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 1,911 Bcf as of Friday, February 11, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 233 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 141 Bcf less than last year at this time and 128 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,039 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 135 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 118 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 18 Bcf above the 5-year average of 680 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 91 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 11 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 24 Bcf. At 1,911 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 2,144 Bcf as of Friday, February 4, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 209 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 98 Bcf less than last year at this time and 45 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,189 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 115 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 110 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 73 Bcf above the 5-year average of 716 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 67 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 3 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 32 Bcf. At 2,144 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 2,353 Bcf as of Friday, January 28, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 189 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 69 Bcf less than last year at this time and 5 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,348 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 107 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 115 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 100 Bcf above the 5-year average of 756 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 56 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 12 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 18 Bcf. At 2,353 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
