Natural Gas Inventories......Week Ending August 17, 2007

Working gas in storage was 2,926 Bcf as of Friday, August 17, 2007, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 23 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 77 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 333 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,593 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 137 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 40 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 146 Bcf above the 5-year average of 758 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 15 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 51 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 2 Bcf. At 2,926 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.
