Natural Gas Inventory Report 06-09-11

Working gas in storage was 2,187 Bcf as of Friday, June 3, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 80 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 255 Bcf less than last year at this time and 58 Bcf below the 5-year average of 2,245 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 124 Bcf below the 5-year average following net injections of 49 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 121 Bcf above the 5-year average of 817 Bcf after a net injection of 18 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 54 Bcf below the 5-year average after a net addition of 13 Bcf. At 2,187 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
