Working gas in storage was 2,542 Bcf as of Friday, January 21, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 174 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 9 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 29 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,513 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 96 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 104 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 117 Bcf above the 5-year average of 795 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 56 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 8 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 14 Bcf. At 2,542 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 2,716 Bcf as of Friday, January 14, 2011, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 243 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 74 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 51 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,665 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 83 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 126 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 133 Bcf above the 5-year average of 835 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 91 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 1 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 26 Bcf. At 2,716 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 69 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 161 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,798 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 35 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 80 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 185 Bcf above the 5-year average of 874 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 20 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 10 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 38 Bcf. At 2,959 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 3,097 Bcf as of Friday, December 31, 2010, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net decline of 135 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 48 Bcf less than last year at this time and 190 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,907 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 23 Bcf below the 5-year average following net withdrawals of 81 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 180 Bcf above the 5-year average of 899 Bcf after a net withdrawal of 38 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 33 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net drawdown of 16 Bcf. At 3,097 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
