Natural Gas Inventory Report 5-28-09
Working gas in storage was 2,213 Bcf as of Friday, May 22, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 106 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 524 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 393 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,820 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 60 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 61 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 238 Bcf above the 5-year average of 662 Bcf after a net injection of 30 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 95 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 15 Bcf. At 2,213 Bcf, total working gas is above the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 2,116 Bcf as of Friday, May 15, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 103 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 514 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 387 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,729 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 55 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 65 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 239 Bcf above the 5-year average of 640 Bcf after a net injection of 25 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 93 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 13 Bcf. At 2,116 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Stocks were 497 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 374 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,639 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 47 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 59 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 235 Bcf above the 5-year average of 619 Bcf after a net injection of 23 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 92 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 13 Bcf. At 2,013 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.

Working gas in storage was 1,918 Bcf as of Friday, May 1, 2009, according to EIA estimates. This represents a net increase of 95 Bcf from the previous week. Stocks were 491 Bcf higher than last year at this time and 362 Bcf above the 5-year average of 1,556 Bcf. In the East Region, stocks were 37 Bcf above the 5-year average following net injections of 58 Bcf. Stocks in the Producing Region were 234 Bcf above the 5-year average of 597 Bcf after a net injection of 26 Bcf. Stocks in the West Region were 91 Bcf above the 5-year average after a net addition of 11 Bcf. At 1,918 Bcf, total working gas is within the 5-year historical range.
